OFFSIDE: The Podcast -- Five-time world champion and two-time Paralympic gold medallist Mac Marcoux

Did you know that OFFSIDE: Making HerStory isn't just about a book, telling one person's inspiring story, nor are we just about one sport, women's hockey, although that's how we got started.

In fact, OFFSIDE: Making HerStory has become what we call a sports equity movement, which means we want to share experiences from athletes and others who participate in all types of sports, particularly those that are unrepresented, in order to create a diverse, inclusive, accessible and equitable space for everyone to be able to share their own inspiring stories.

We're happy to announce that OFFSIDE: The Podcast is experiencing a resurgence, and we've already banked some awesome interviews with awesome guests that make us worth tuning into, whether that's watching on our YouTube channel or listening to our many audio options including our Spreaker channel run by producer Dave Briglio, who makes our podcast available on all of the usual audio channels as well (Apple, Spotify, Google, etc.).

To kick off our new podcast season, we're sharing our incredibly interesting conversation with five-time world champion Macmilton "Mac" Marcoux, a legally blind 25-year-old Para-athlete from Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., who has already reached incredible heights in the sports world, including five world championship titles and two Paralympic gold medals in his favourite sport, alpine skiing.

You can also watch the podcast, hosted by myself and Taylor Dewling, and produced by Christina Henriksen, on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZgAoQx6Cl8&t=555s or by clicking on the photo below.

Or if you prefer to listen to one of our audio options, check out our Spreaker channel here: https://www.spreaker.com/user/10106966/offside-ep-31-paralympian-mac-marcoux_1

Thank you, Mac, for taking the time to chat with OFFSIDE: Making HerStory, for sharing your story for the world and for being an important role model for young athletes of all abilities both across our country and around the world.

Up next for OFFSIDE: The Podcast, we'll have mom Christie Duffy of the Duffy Dozen, an American family featuring two moms and a large family completely in love with football, highly acclaimed hockey researcher Dr. Julie Stevens, and Canadian media personality and children's sports book author Lisa Bowes. Be sure to stay tuned for more stories from more amazing folks who like OFFSIDE: Making HerStory, are dedicated to making sports more equitable for all who want to play.
