Elaan 3 is the sequel to the 2005 action thriller film Elaan, which starred Mithun Chakraborty, John Abraham, Rahul Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta and Amisha Patel. The film was directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Ganesh Jain and Ratan Jain. Elaan was a mission film about five characters and their plan against one man, Baba Sikander (Mithun Chakraborty), a powerful criminal who ruled by fear.
Elaan 3 follows the story of Karan Shah (Rahul Khanna), who had vowed to bring Baba Sikander to justice in India after he killed his father, Kantilal Shah. Karan had recruited four mercenaries to help him in his mission: Arjun Srivastav (Arjun Rampal), a former cop who had lost his wife and unborn child; Abhimanyu (John Abraham), a former hitman of Baba who had been framed by him; Sonia (Lara Dutta), a club dancer who had a personal vendetta against Baba; and Priya (Amisha Patel), a TV reporter who wanted to expose Baba's crimes. Together, they had managed to capture Baba and bring him back to India, where he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

However, in Elaan 3, Baba escapes from prison with the help of his brothers, Aftab (Milind Gunaji) and Sameer (Prithvi Zutshi), and his new ally, Rana (Sanjay Dutt), a ruthless terrorist. Baba seeks revenge on Karan and his team, and also plans to unleash a series of bomb blasts across India. Karan and his team must once again unite and stop Baba and Rana before they destroy the country. Elaan 3 is a high-octane action film that promises to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Elaan 3 is scheduled to release on 14 January 2024, the same date as Elaan. The film is written by Robin Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt, and directed by Rohit Shetty. The film also features Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in special appearances. The music of the film is composed by Anu Malik.
